Waking Up
Waking Up was captured on the Maasai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya in late February 2020. Female lions are the primary hunters and leaders. Our guide speculated that the lion picture here was separated from the pride overnight while hunting, and stayed in the tree for safety until morning.
